ADVANCE 100 PROGRAM
The goal of the Braylon Edwards ADVANCE 100 Program is to provide 100 eighth grade students (from Cleveland, OH) with academic scholarships upon the completion of their senior year of high school.

HELMETS FOR HIGH SCHOOLS - PROGRAM PARTNER, EASTBAY
The Helmets for High Schools initiative is designed to increase safety on the football field by upgrading existing equipment in an effort to decrease and prevent head injuries. The new headgear features team colors and logo. The helmets, manufactured by Schutt Helmet Co., will be distributed to student athletes during the 2006-2007 football season. The program launched during Super Bowl XL Weekend in Detroit, February 2006. More than 200 students were in attendance as Edwards and representatives from the Eastbay, Schutt and Detroit Public Schools introduced the program and displayed prototypes of the new helmets.

SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT FOR UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN NO. 1 FOOTBALL JERSEY
The Scholarship Endowment for the University of Michigan's No. 1 football jersey was announced in April 2006. The charitable gift provides support to a student/athlete wearing the No. 1 football jersey. The scholarship endowment will recognize future athletes who demonstrate character and commitment both on and off the field. Athletes wearing the No. 1 jersey are selected by U-M's coaching staff.
